Gwynnie Bee Review – Clothing Rental Service

posted in: fashion | 0

For the past 30 days I’ve been testing out the clothing rental service, Gwynnie Bee

Gwynnie Bee is a monthly subscription service for clothes sizes 10-32. There are three subscription levels based on how many items you want to recieve at one time. Its important to note that you will be charged monthly for as many boxes as you want to receive.

Setting up your first box is simple. All you need to do is sign up for an account, select your subscription level, and start adding items to your closet. Once you closet has 20+ items, Gwynnie Bee will start working on your first box. Once you add items to your closet, you have the option to prioritize items over other ones.  Don’t forget to do this if you want to get a specific item for that week.

Wear, return, repeat. As soon as you indicate in the app that you want to return the items, they send out another box. I received my first month free as part of their 30-day free trial promotion. I’m not sure how long this promotion will last but it gave me the opportunity to test out this service essentially for free (I wound up purchasing a few of the items so not totally free). Head on over to Gwynnie Bee to get your first month free today! I am not receiving any type of reward for subscribers either!

I received seven boxes of two garments over the course of the last 30 days. For me, the boxes were either a hit or a miss. There was no in-between.

Here are the items I wound up purchasing:

These items were a complete miss- fit, style, and price were totally off.

Why I stopped my Gwynnie Bee Subscription Service:

I want to save some money this month. Purely a financial decision.

The quality of the items do not match up to the cost. For pieces that have been worn already – they are charging as if the item is new. They do mark items down drastically, so if you happen to catch the item once its marked down- then its totally worth it! Thats how I purchased the items I did for so cheap!

They advertise that they carry the latest styles, but in my opinion, the styles were not current. They do however upload new items about once a week, which was a blast going through and closeting items.
